Two-Day Sauna & Whisking Training with Mon Klavina

27–28 October 2026 | Amberwave Sauna, Glasgow

Join Latvian pirts practitioner Mon Klavina (@laimaspirts) for a two-day training exploring elements of the pirts tradition, sauna practice, whisking, steam, plants and group facilitation.

Mon is a graduate of Pirts Skola in Latvia and works with traditional Latvian pirts practices alongside a trauma-informed approach, with a particular interest in the intertwining of mythology, land and queerness.

Across the two days, the course will explore what we are taught in sauna and why, while bringing in our own experiences and practices.

The training is open to both sauna enthusiasts and professionals looking to learn practical skills and explore the cultural responsibilities of group sauna facilitation.

Each day includes practical work, peer-led group discussion and sauna sessions at Amberwave Sauna.

Each participant will also receive a detailed information booklet covering the learning from the two days and more.
